Drilling from project planning to after sales

We offer the whole drilling chain from geological determination to service. This includes all kinds of techniques and bore holes between 50 and 800 mm in diameter on large depths. We also perform total contracts within geoenergy.

Water drilling

Each commission starts with precise geological determination during which we use our own, unique documentation as well as the official archives of the Geological Survey of Sweden (the SGU). Drilling begins thereafter, and we design the plant in accordance with exact customer requirements. Everything is carefully documented.

Pumping and pipe equipment is usually included in the contract, as well as superstructures for weather protection and ease of maintenance. Read more about our  superstructures for wells and other drilling products.

Energy drilling

Geoenergy from groundwater or bedrock is often used for the heating and cooling both of buildings and processes. At Malmberg, we have extensive experience of drilling and designing groundwater and collector wells and, in fact, we are pioneers in Sweden in this field. For example, we drilled the groundwater wells for the world's largest geoenergy storage at Arlanda Airport outside Stockholm. Read more about geoenergy projects by Malmberg.

Exploration drilling

To eliminate any risks and to avoid unpleasant surprises in connection with prospective projects and work on existing plants, we offer different types of exploration drilling. Customer requirements dictate the appropriate technology – pneumatic, Wassara, hydraulic or drilling 2" pipes. We perform accurate sample collection and the drilling process is monitored and documented in great detail.

Contract drilling and groundwater lowering

We have the technology, the personnel and the equipment for drilling deviated wells and for steel core and concrete pile drilling. Part of our operation comprises the lowering of groundwater and, for such projects, we also let out pumps and equipment for hire.
