From biogas to pure energy
Biogas is produced when household waste, manure or sludge from wastewater treatment is digested. If biogas is upgraded it can be used in different ways and the residues from digestion serve as bio fertilizer. In other words, the organic waste we produce is transformed into a renewable, valuable, eco-friendly energy source.

Vehicle gas or substitute for natural gas
Upgraded biogas results in a gas with a higher energy content. Compressed biogas can be used as vehicle fuel (CBG) and can also be used for power or heat production if injected into the natural gas grid. Excess heat from the upgrading process can serve to heat buildings.
Produce renewable energy locally with proven technology
Locally produced, renewable energy will reduce the greenhouse effect and the dependence on fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil and coal. Using Malmberg’s proven technology, non-fossil biogas is upgraded to climate-friendly, CO2-neutral energy. We have developed a biogas technology based on water scrubbing. The biogas technology is used in Malmberg COMPACT™ – standardized upgrading plants that are small, reliable and easy to manage.
