First half of 2014 successful for Malmberg Biogas
The year started well with a contract for a Malmberg COMPACT® GR20 machine for Wessex Water in January. Since then, the orders for our biogas upgrading machines and proven technology have kept on coming.
Malmberg Biogas continues to supply biomethane production machines throughout Europe. Recent orders include yet another machine for the UK, two machines for Norway, two for Sweden and three for Denmark, one of which has an upgrading capacity of 3,000 Nm3/h. Clean energy is what the market is looking for, we are of course happy to be able to deliver it with consistent accuracy.
Klaipeda in Lithuania – one of the world's most advanced water treatment plants
The inauguration of new water treatment plant in Klaipeda, Lithuania, was held on 6 December. The plant has been built in a consortium between Malmberg Water AB and the Lithuanian civil contractor Hidrostatyba, under a turnkey contract. Water treatment process and equipment has been delivered in partnership with the German company Chriwa. Read more about the new plant.

Being a good ambassador is one of the reasons why Malmberg Water won the South Sweden Cleantech Award 2013.

UK market venture proves successful
Next summer 2014 we will deliver our first biogas plant on the UK market, a Malmberg COMPACT® GR14XL, to Severn Trent Water. The plant will upgrade 1,500 m3 of biogas per hour and will be the largest of its kind in the country. The upgraded biogas will be injected into the National Gas Grid.
"The proven track record of our 65 high-performance upgrading plants around Europe and our experience in this field, has paved the way for this opportunity", says Erik Malmberg, Export Director.
The assignment is a cooperation with Imtech UK.
Cooperation secures Danish biogas plants
"It is very important to us that our plants can use the most optimal technology available on the market from the very beginning", says Bionaturgas Danmark's managing director Hans Duus Jørgensen. The company has signed a two-year general agreement with Malmberg Water concerning delivery of the Bionaturgas Denmark's biogas plants. Malmberg's biogas technology now in the UK
By means of Malmberg's technology, Severn Trent Water will be able to upgrade 1,500 m3 of biogas per hour from its largest wastewater plant. The upgraded biogas will be injected into the natural gas grid. The contract is a cooperation with Imtech UK. Read the press release.
Historical Swedish-Chinese cooperation on biogas
Malmberg Water's MD Johan Möllerström and Hainan Shenzhous Chariman Luo Hao Fu shake hands after signing a historical agreement on delivery of biogas technology to China. The plan will produce renewable vehicle fuel and will start delivering in July 2013. Read the press release in English or in Chinese.

Malmberg's new UK maintenance and service partner for biogas upgrading plants is Cooper Ostlund, based in Northampton close to the M1 and A14.
Cooper Ostlund will be assisted by Malmberg’s 24/7 monitoring service and 20 service engineers based in southern Sweden and Germany.
